Understanding Our Refund Policy

Because every blanket we create is custom-made specifically for you with your personal photos and text, we have a targeted refund policy focused on quality and accuracy.

  • Customer uploaded wrong photos
  • Customer entered incorrect text or spelling
  • Customer chose wrong size
  • Change of mind after receiving
  • Photos don't look as expected (but match preview)
  • Don't like the color scheme (that you selected)
  • No longer want/need the blanket
  • Ordered wrong product by mistake

Each blanket is custom-created specifically for you based on the photos and text you upload and approve. That's why we provide a detailed preview before production - so you can verify everything is perfect. Once you approve your design and we create your blanket, we cannot resell or reuse it for another customer.

What We Cover: Our Quality Guarantee

Manufacturing Defects

If your blanket has any manufacturing issues, we'll replace it immediately:

  • Unraveling seams or poor stitching
  • Holes or tears in the fabric
  • Material defects or thin spots
  • Significant pilling or shedding upon arrival

Print Quality Issues

We guarantee vibrant, clear printing on every blanket:

  • Blurry or pixelated images (when proper quality photos were provided)
  • Significant color discrepancies from your original photo
  • Faded or washed-out printing
  • Smudging, streaking, or print defects
  • Photos printed in wrong position or size

 

Important: Please photograph the damaged blanket as soon as you receive it. This helps us file claims with carriers and improve our packaging.

Wrong Product or Order Errors

Sometimes mistakes happen on our end:

  • You received someone else's order
  • Wrong size blanket (you ordered 50"×60", received 30"×40")
  • Wrong material (ordered fleece, received sherpa)
  • We printed wrong photos from our production error
  • We misspelled text during production (not from your upload)

If any of these issues occur, we'll immediately send you a replacement blanket at no charge, or provide a full refund - your choice. We stand behind every product we create.

What We Don't Cover: Customer Responsibility

Because you have full control over the design through our preview system, we cannot  offer refunds for:

Design Choices You Made

  • Photo Selection: You chose which photos to upload
  • Text Entry: You typed in the names, dates, or messages
  • Font Choice: You selected the font style
  • Color Selection: You chose the color scheme
  • Layout Choice: You selected the number of photos and layout

Photo Quality Issues

We provide detailed photo requirements and guidelines, but we cannot offer refunds if:

  • Your uploaded photos were low resolution and printed blurry (we print what you provide)
  • Your photos were dark and printed dark
  • Your photos were already blurry when uploaded
  • Photos don't look "good" but match what you uploaded

Prevention: Use our free photo quality check service! Send photos to support@thatblanket.co before ordering and we'll tell you if they'll print well.

Spelling or Text Errors

You're responsible for:

  • Correct spelling of names, dates, and messages
  • Proper capitalization
  • Correct information (birthdates, anniversaries, etc.)

Prevention: Carefully review the preview before ordering! The preview shows exactly what will be printed, including all text.

Size or Material Mistakes

  • You ordered the wrong size
  • Blanket is smaller/larger than you expected (but is the size you ordered)
  • You ordered fleece but wanted sherpa

Change of Mind

  • No longer want the blanket
  • Don't like how it looks (but it matches your approved design)
  • Changed your mind about the design
  • Bought it as a gift and recipient doesn't want it
  • Found a better photo you wish you'd used

Our customizer shows you EXACTLY how your blanket will look. Please review your preview carefully before ordering:

  • Check photo quality and positioning
  • Verify all text spelling and accuracy
  • Confirm colors look good
  • Double-check size selection
  • Make sure it's exactly what you want

Once you place your order, we begin production immediately and cannot make changes or offer returns for design choices.

How to Request a Refund or Remake

If you believe your blanket qualifies for a remake under our quality guarantee, follow these steps:

Contact Us Within 30 Days

Email support@thatblanket.co within 30 days of receiving your blanket. Include your order number and describe the issue.

Provide Photos

Take clear photos showing the issue: defects, damage, wrong product, print quality problems, etc. Photos help us quickly assess the situation and expedite your replacement.

We Review Your Request

Our team will review your request within 24 hours (usually much faster). We'll determine if the issue qualifies under our guarantee.

Choose Your Resolution

If your request is approved, you choose:

  • Replacement: We'll create a new blanket and ship it free
  • Refund: Full refund to your original payment method

Return Shipping

In ALL cases, we DO NOT offer/accept  Returns for the defective blanket.

How Replacements Work

If we determine your blanket has a quality issue:

  • Fast Production: Your replacement goes into priority production
  • No Cost to You: Replacement blanket and shipping are 100% free
  • Same Design: We'll recreate your blanket exactly as originally ordered
  • Design Changes: If you'd like to fix something (like a spelling error you made), you can update the design - just let us know
  • Expedited Shipping: Replacements often ship faster than standard orders

Timeline for Replacements

Once approved:

  • Production: 2-4 business days (priority processing)
  • Shipping: 5-7 business days
  • Total: 7-11 business days to receive replacement

Refund Process

If You Choose a Refund

Refunds are processed to your original payment method:

  • Processing Time: Refund initiated within 24 hours of approval
  • Credit Card: Appears in 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: Appears in 3-5 business days
  • Other Payment Methods: Timing varies by provider

Full Refund Includes

  • Complete product cost
  • Original shipping fees (if applicable)
  • Any customization charges

💳 Refund Note

Due to payment processor policies, refunds must go back to the original payment method used for purchase. We cannot provide refunds via different methods (e.g., purchased with credit card, can't refund to PayPal).

Special Circumstances

Gifts That Recipients Don't Want

We understand gift-giving can be tricky. If you ordered a blanket as a gift and the recipient doesn't want it:

  • Each blanket is custom-made specifically with your chosen photos
  • Consider giving it to another family member who would appreciate it
  • We cannot accept returns based on recipient preference, or ever.

Dissatisfaction With Design Outcome

If the blanket matches your approved preview but you're not happy with how it looks:

  • The preview system shows exactly what you'll receive
  • You had the opportunity to change the design before ordering
  • We encourage using our preview extensively before ordering

Lost or Stolen Packages

If your blanket was stolen after delivery confirmation:

  • We are not responsible for theft after delivery
  • Contact your local police department to file a report
  • Check with neighbors or building management
  • We recommend shipping to secure locations

Blankets Damaged After Use

Normal wear and tear is not covered:

  • Damage from washing incorrectly (wrong temperature, bleach, etc.)
  • Pet damage (scratches, chewing, etc.)
  • Accidental damage (spills, tears, fire, etc.)
  • Fading or damage after months/years of use

However, if your blanket fades or deteriorates within the first 30 days with proper care, contact us - that may indicate a manufacturing issue.
